Blackrock Expert Services Group Merges with Haberman Ilett

The joining together of two reputable leaders in their fields will bring significant service benefits to our clients, enabling an increased scope of independent expert services across multiple disciplines.

Blackrock Expert Services Group today announces the successful merger with Haberman Ilett – a recognised leader in the provision of accounting and financial expert witness services in the UK and internationally.

Sharing the same expert focus, outstanding global reputations and an ethos built around quality, integrity and independence – there is a natural synergy to bringing these two leading businesses together.

Haberman Ilett is the UK’s largest independent firm specialising in the provision of accounting and financial expertise in the context of disputes. Haberman Ilett’s extensive portfolio of experience, joined with the Group’s construction and technology expertise, will further enhance the Group’s expert and advisory practice, providing an unparalleled fusion of skills and services to clients around the world.

The announcement today highlights another landmark for Blackrock Expert Services Group, having celebrated 12 months of continuous growth following the opening of their Paris office in March last year and the acquisition of technology expert witness firm IT Group in August.

Giles Derry, CEO of Blackrock Expert Services, said “We work with Haberman Ilett regularly and have high regard for the quality and integrity of their people, making the cultural fit with Blackrock an easy pairing. Clients frequently seek a range of expert services from us and we are genuinely delighted that we are now able to offer such high quality forensic and accounting experts.”

Frank Ilett, Haberman Ilett’s Managing Partner, comments “Blackrock is an ideal partner for us and we are delighted to be joining forces with a firm of their quality. Our ability to continue with few conflicts and to offer the highest quality to our clients was essential. We are all looking forward to delivering the benefits of being part of a larger organisation whilst at the same time maintaining the focus on expert witness work. All the partners and staff are remaining with the combined business and this will ensure a smooth transition and benefit both businesses and clients.”
